I did a photo shoot a while back with a friend of mine, I giggled the whole time and Chula wouldn't hold still. Literally,  not for one second. And even though we were terrible models, the photos came out great!!!

Planning For Something More

My vegetable garden is in a pathetic state right now. My strawberries are doing awesome though and I'm expecting to have a few ready to devour by the end of the week. My cactus finally bloomed!!! It was being quite stubborn and maybe it was just the weather but I do think it enjoyed watching me suffer and fret over it.

I've mentioned it before but my plan is to buy land somewhere possibly up north where I can start growing on a larger scale. I can’t say it enough, I’m so excited I can feel it in my bones. I can’t wait to milk my own dairy cow for the first time, collect chicken eggs every morning, sheer my own sheep, make my own goat cheese, can my own homegrown fruits, compost my waste, and most of all build my own cabin (with basement/root cellar) and green house. I feel like jumping up and down when I think about it.
 I’ve also currently checked out every book from the local libraries on homesteading and self sufficient living. My library card is about maxed out & I'll admit it I've kept some for too long and owe some overdue fees. I’ll be posting later on what books I found most useful in hopes of inspiring you to go check them out for yourselves.
